Vodafone Paknet

Vodafone Paknet is a packet switched ‘Data Only’ network. It can be used as both a fixed or a mobile network. LTS is a major re-seller of Paknet airtime and has many value added applications in the high security and M2M (machine to machine) market places.

These applications include; Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) within the Location Based Solutions (LBS) sector and Mobile Data applications.

As Paknet is a dedicated data only network it has higher reliability and resilience than voice and data networks where data is often an overlay on the voice network and where voice has precedent. In the tragic circumstances of July 7th in London whilst all the major cellular networks collapsed under capacity and access issues Paknet remained up and running and communicating. Vital for mission critical communications such as security and public information services.
